"Perfect stay"
We stayed here for 3 nights in August with our teenage daughter.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly dogs and then by the owner Philippe. He explained the grounds to us and was helpful with reservations.
The Salomon Suite was perfect for an adjoining bedroom for our daughter. The whole castle has been beautifully restored and beautiful, the interior is lovely. I really appreciate a good bedlinens, a good quality bed and breakfast, a good bed and everything, is here. The pool area is lovely and quiet. The location of the castle is perfect, there are so many wonderful places nearby. Cabourg, a cute coastal town is a few minutes drive, there are many very good restaurants nearby.
It was simply quiet and beautiful here, I could have stayed 10 days!

"Just Perfect"
We stayed at this beautiful castle for 3 days and traveled to the Normandy beaches and surrounding towns during the day. The house was exactly what we hoped it would be. The setting is spectacular, the house is beautiful and historic. Everything is immaculate. Brigitte and Philippe were the best hosts and their breakfast is delicious. There are many excellent restaurants near by for dinner. We would love to be back.

We stayed in this beautiful castle while we were traveling from Paris to Normandy Beaches. The castle and the grounds were lovely. There is so much history in this building, the fireplaces, the ceilings-amazing. Our host was very friendly and told the story behind the building. Breakfast was wonderful and the dogs were very friendly but not bothersome. We loved our stay here and highly recommend

Chateau de Beneauville, a 16th century architectural marvel, is utterly breathtaking and you will find it extremely comfortable and relaxing at the same time. We arrived at the Chateau after stays in Paris and Versailles on the way to the Normandy coastline. We immediately knew that we had arrived at the right place and we would soon have had a great experience. Our trip to France was a family trip and my teenage girls, 17 and 14 years old. Chateau de Beneauville is an ideal base for such a trip. Our stay at the castle lasted four nights in mid-July. Our lodgings were most big, elegant and spacious. The historically preserved period furniture, fixtures and architectural detail were present in every aspect of our rooms and the other rooms of the Chateau. All so incredible, and yet all of us are welcome, sharing their grand residence with us. To wake up in the morning, gazing up at intricately coffered ceilings with artwork dating back to the late 16th century left us in awe, and made quite an impression on our teenage kids as they grew up to know and understand the time period they were actually living in for those 4 nights. We had many pleasant conversations with Philippe and Brigitte regarding the history of the chateau and the region we were visiting. I can not say enough about the hospitality of our host. We were truly sad to leave.

The surrounding grounds, the fun pool and pool bar, the beautifully manicured gardens and colorful potted plants all around us, are the best of the world. We are seasoned travelers, have stayed in the world, and would like to stay at the Chateau, in this wonderful part of France, as among our favorites. No doubt we will return and look forward to that day.

Sheer elegance
I spent my final night here during a brief summer jaunt to Normandy. The lounges were stunning in their decoration, and the bedroom was comfortable and elegant. Breakfast, served in a splendid room, was excellent. The extensive grounds are available, and an open-air pool is available. Philippe is a warm and delightful host. Loved the dogs, and the puppy being trained! Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed in one of the 5 suites of the Chateau de Beneauville during our trip to Normandy, we were able to travel to Etretat, the Mont Saint Michel and the D-day beaches. Like the region is rich in history and Philippe the owner
We liked and recommended the place for our friends for next year.

Dear Philippe and Brigitte,

Our visit to Normandy was wonderful and somber. So many sacrifices along the beaches and within the cities. Our stay at your beautifully decorated home was the perfect location for our daily explorations. Having breakfast with other guests is your favorite place to start your day. We look forward to recommending your Chateau to our friends that travel to Normandy.

"Normandy at its best"

Recently stayed two nights at this enchanting and peaceful Chateau. The hosts are very welcoming (along with the dogs) room was large, beautifully furnished with a very large comfortable bed. We have a wealth of information and we are not disappointed, and we have not yet had a wealth of information ... ..you want to see a fabulous part of France, this is a wonderful location to begin.

"Enchanting stay in Normandy"

When you arrive, you are greeted by a majestic driveway leading to the magnificent manor that is the Château de Bénéauville. Philippe and Brigitte Hosts will make your stay comfortable and trouble-free. This Castle is an absolute gem. We stayed in the House Job which was beautifully appointed. If you want to go to Normandy's historic sites, especially Caen, Bayeux and the WW2 D-Day invasion beaches.

Can not wait to go back Philippe and Brigitte!

"One word ... Wonderful"

What a wonderful place we had the Hercules suite which is stunning. Peaceful place and the owners are very kind. Breakfast very natural and lots of choice. Great big towels and lovely bathrooms. The property is stunning in general and it is a peaceful retreat. Cabourg is very lively and has a great beach. The property is very well recommended

"Wonderful Chateau Stay"

Beautiful Chateau. Stayed 2 nights with two young children.

We had the Hercules room for another child. It was huge and also included in the bathroom. Comfortable beds and pillows.

Superbly clean, an abundance of soft towels, use of the swimming pool, dresses provided. Lovely breakfast and kind, friendly hosts.

I would only be here with a lot of children and I would like to see you soon after that.

My only regret is that we did not have time to sit and relax in the hotel.

Great location for all the Normandy Beaches.

Cabourg is a lively evening town during the summer months. Lots of people milling around ... Nice restaurants.

Thank you!

"Very nice stay in a beautiful house."

We stayed four nights as a family (two children) in the Hercule Suite.
The master bedroom, the "historic" room is superb: painted ceilings and fireplace of the sixteenth century, wood paneling ...

The adjoining room for the kids is cute and spacious. There is also a charming little sitting room. Spacious and immaculate bathroom.

The exterior architecture is very original and elegant.

The common areas (dining room - living rooms - gardens) are also very beautiful.
The space around the pool is very nice.

The service is absolutely perfect, it is rare to see large houses as well maintained. Everything is impeccable.

The welcome of the passionate owners was also very pleasant.

"Gracious, peaceful retreat"

My mother, grandmother and I had a lovely stay at this property. The husband and wife hosts were very helpful and helpful. The property is calm, peaceful and quite lovely. They have 2 wonderful dogs to welcome you to the property. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Rooms are amazing. My grandmother said she would be more than happy to return. Everything was fantastic. I only had a bit of a struggle. Very easy to access once I knew where I was going! Wifi was a bit temperamental. Perfect for a long weekend for anyone and would highly recommend.

" everything is perfect"

Warm welcome, good breakfast, impeccable room and nice, nice and sunny pool. We went there twice in July as a couple and family. Two perfect stays. We will come back

"Wonderful weekend in a beautiful and civilized surrounding"

We were greeted by the owners, very knowledgeable and world savy, in their superbly maintained castle. The suite was beautiful, comfortable and very authentic (no bling), the bed particularly comfortable. Very good and hearty breakfast. And beautiful trophies, to please hunters. An experience I look forward to repeating soon.

"Heaven in Normandy!"

My husband and I recently enjoyed Normandy with our gracious host, Brigitte and Philippe Augais! The castle is an architectural wonder with a rich history - beautifully appointed, lovingly tended to and restored with every modern convenience. The grounds offer a perfect respite after a day of touring. The castle was ideally situated to explore the region in a series of day trips. Giverny, Etretat, Deauville, Bayeux, Mont St. Michel, Rouen, D-day beaches and more within easy driving distance. Brigitte and Philippe's love of their home and region, and they are pleased to offer a range of restaurants and travel suggestions, all the while.

"Week end with family from June 20th to 21st. A piece of paradise in Normandy "

How to qualify such a place. To begin, respect the speed indicated at the entrance of the castle. You will understand why after! It's time for you to change your vision of Normandy and begin to discover the outside and the surrounding area. Simply beautiful, with a sense of detail and perfectly accomplished work. When you arrive near the castle, you will be greeted by two adorable dogs, delighted to count you among the "happy tenants" of the place. The welcome, so far from the classics of luxury hotels, because yes, it is in the world of luxury that you arrive but a luxury of our old perfectly maintained in this high places of the nobility of yesteryear. Your room, as you will see for yourself, is impressive. You succumb to the charm of the place, the impression that life has never stopped and that you are at home. A night spent in peace, in beds of exceptional comfort, bathrooms that we would like to have at home, large, bright and so beautifully decorated. an extraordinary breakfast, alliance of work of the house and breads / Viennese pastries from Dupont, impossible to pass by once in Cabourg. Another big thank you and see you next year. Oh, I forgot, a pool invites you to relax in a water at 30 ° C with a set of sun loungers and tables (including a ping pong) with the pleasure of sharing a glass of champagne with the owners of this magnificent castle. A real interruption in time, far from the hassle and the vagaries of city life.

"Like from a fairy tale"

We stayed here one night in this stunning Chateau and already can not wait to come back! It's an architectural jewel! We had a following Hercules for our family of 3 adults, 1 kid and a baby and it was amazingly beautiful and functional too. Interiors are really impressive, breakfast is delicious, hosts are charming! I only regret that we booked only 1 night 🙂

"At the castle like at home"

A friendly welcome in a house steeped in history. the owners, visibly passionate, welcome you in all simplicity and do not hesitate to share the good addresses of the region. In short, an unforgettable stay out of time in a unique setting. Thank you with all my heart for this moment of exception.

"Charm and serenity"

In short stay of two nights in this splendid mansion, we had only to rent the kindness of our Hosts, the beauty of the continuation so much by its decoration as by the quality of its benefits ...
A magnificent place that presides over the impeccable welcome of Madame and Monsieur Augais.
"Calm and voluptuous" ...... if it were not plagiarized would be justified qualifiers!
Go there, you will see!

"Stunning Chateau with a warm welcome"

The architecture of this lovely castle can not fail to impress. The most lovely addition is the warm welcome to your home.
- Beautifully appointed rooms - all immaculate
- Very nice pool area, well maintained
- Delicious breakfast
- Good restaurant recommendations
- Perfect balance of warm welcome
Based on my visit earlier in the year, I can not recommend highly enough.

"Absolutely gorgeous!"

Driving up the driveway to the castle, we also thought that we'd taken a wrong turn, so magnificent was our view. Our family had a night stay in the Chateau, enjoyed a lovely breakfast and a beautiful breakfast to begin each morning. I had had the best yoghurt I've had in my life! The castle is in a great location to visit some of the landing beaches and other attractions of Normandy. Our hosts Philippe and Brigitte were welcoming and knowledgable, steering us to great restaurants in the nearby villages. We had a really great stay.

"Uniquelly Great"

When we drove up to the Chateau of Beneauville after a full day of the Normandy, I thought I must have taken a wrong turn and arrived at a summer retreat for a member of the political leadership or dignitary. Not only was it the essence of stateliness, but it seemed to broadcast quiet elegance with a warm welcome. Then it got even better. Our room spoiled us, breakfast filled with food and was made to come to France, and the park-like grounds of the castle made me want to linger to soak up the experience. I took a picture of being able to have a lot of friends and I had actually enjoyed a place like Chateau de Beneauville! Philippe and Brigitte were warm and accommodating hosts who seemed to share their homes with them. We heard enough of Philippe's adventures to come back for more. I recommend this place for anyone who can be lucky enough to get there.

"Exceptional ...."

I thought I had not done so much. I just did not do it. I did not - so, an oversight corrected!

We stayed with friends when we were traveling to the city in September 2013. Philippe and Brigitte were extremely charming, friendly and welcoming and the rooms, or suites, are just exceptional. Philippe helped us to make a trip to the evening. The chateau and grounds are just magnificent and maintained to a very high standard.

I must also mention that as a Coeliac (celiac) I am a mother of two children and I am a mother of two children. All in all a short memorable stay and one we hope to repeat in the not too distant future as there is a lot in this lovely area of France.

"Great stay for an unforgettable birthday

My partner and I stayed for one night at Chateau de Beneauville. We were very well received for the owner, the place is splendid, a building of more than five centuries, rooms decorated remarkably, the published photos are very speaking.
Of course, the region brings a particular cachet for the most chic department of Normandy.
An excellent stay for which I thank again my beautiful.
WI-FI is perfectible but we are in the countryside, the flow is less.

"Wonderful Chateau"

Stayed for 6 nights with the family, and really enjoyed the Chateau had to offer. Rooms were exceptional, Breakfast was a treat, and we spent many happy hours by the pool. It is also amazingly quiet, and I really noticed the difference in London this morning.

"Chateau Beneauville"

My husband and I stayed at Chateau Beneauville for 5 nights and we had a wonderful time. So peaceful and beautiful. We want to go back again. Philippe and Brigitte were very friendly and welcoming. Thanks for the nice time. Paul and Annet

"What a wonderful corner of paradise in Lower Normandy"

It's already been three times that we have the privilege to stay in the castle of Mr. and Mrs. Augais. What to say: wonderful setting, exceptional rooms by their beauty, refinement, decorated with taste and authenticity. Everything is done with particular care down to the smallest detail, as if the children or friends had just left the place. Everything is there so that your stay is and it will be, unforgettable. Calm will be your best friend. Whatever your choice, your stay will remain marked in your minds. The reception is very warm. The owners are to discover and their pleasure to communicate their passion for this place is incredible.
The setting is unique as the value for money is simply extraordinary. Never have we found so many qualities for a place let alone a castle with such benefits for a price as interesting. (Do not say it too hard because it will be more and more difficult to return ...), the park is beautiful, and invites you to go for a walk on the back of the castle with perhaps the opportunity to cross some small boars if you are discreet. It would be unthinkable not to mention the pool which is exceptional in size, setting, a playground for children, friendliness for adults and in a setting that would almost let you forget that you are close to the sea so much you do not want to leave her. A pleasure for young and old around a small café at the bar with Monsieur and Madame Augais!
I really do not have a word to describe the feelings when we leave this place if it is that we find ourselves very quickly to look at his agenda to call back for the next time!
Thank you again for this weekend spent at your home and for allowing us to relax and take a break in this haven of peace and quiet so close to places marked by important historical events. Still full of memories to share and stories to tell. Thank you

"A slice of heaven!"

My husband and I had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time at the Château de Bénéauville, the home of Philippe and Brigitte, just this past week ~ what a dream! As everyone else has mentioned, the castle itself was immaculate, I felt as if we were in a museum! They have been able to update and maintain the charm of a bygone era. Nothing was amiss! But the friendliness of the owners was definately the highlight! Philippe and Brigitte know so much about the history of their home, and of the area, and love to share stories. We have a number of evenings with 400+ years of the castle [it was built in 1589].

The rooms and bathrooms are more than comfortable, the beds so very comfortable. The room includes chairs and a small couch, so spacious. The bathroom was spotless ... and the towels! They were SO fluffy and soft! Seriously, Brigitte and Philippe have thought of everything !!

The breakfast is not to be missed ... freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh pastries, delicious fresh fruit, homemade jams, cheese and ham, fresh bread and wonderful butter, and pressed coffee! Great way to start the day ~ mostly we did not eat lunch after such a feast!

The heated pool was a plus, we had some warm weather and were able to enjoy the grounds and play with the dogs!

This is a great location for exploring the beaches of Normandy, Charbourg, Mont Saint Michel, Caen, Honfleur, and the like. We got great recommendations from Philippe for both places and places to eat.

We can not thank Philippe and Brigitte for making us feel at home away from home! We will definately be back to the face when we are again in the area ... we want to see how the new gardens take shape [altho 'the current ones are gorgeous] and make sure Philippe does not have any more minor' accidents' with the back-hoe!

My family had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful castle for two nights in early July! Everything about the experience was simply perfect! The castle and its grounds were beautiful and immaculate. We had a 2 room suite, the suite and bath were spotless and comfortable beds. The location makes it easy to ride Normandy by car. We would be grateful if we did not mention our hosts, Brigitte and Phillippe. They were welcoming, gracious and wonderful. We loved Phillippe's stories and Brigitte's homemade jams and fresh orange juice were delicious. Thank you for a marvelous visit. Our only regret is that we only had two days to enjoy our visit.

"A Jewel of Normandy"

My wife and I spent three nights in this beautiful, wonderfully maintained castle. We used it as a jumping point to the Normandy area and were not disappointed. It was quiet and comfortable.

Our hosts were most pleasant and gracious. Philippe was full of facts and stories of the property and the surrounding areas. He suggested we take a trip to Honfleur during a trip to Rouen, and it was one of the high points of our trip.

We foolishly jumped out to breakfast in the magnificent dining room. Our mistake.

The grounds were immaculate and the swimming pool looked very inviting. We did not have time during this visit, but maybe next time.

We would not hesitate to return and strongly recommend you to stay here if you are in the area.

"Lovely hosts and 5-star accommodations"

The Chateau de Beneauville is superlative in all categories. It is a gorgeous historical property that is beautifully maintained both inside and out. The rooms are large, the bathrooms attractive, clean and updated. Wi-fi works well. It is well situated to visit the D-Day beaches. However, the best attribute of this castle is the couple who owns it, Philippe and Brigitte Augais. They are both charming, friendly and hospitable. Philippe is a great story teller and Brigitte an excellent cook, who serves a beautifully appointed and delicious breakfast..which includes fresh orange juice.

My husband and I took our children and grandchildren to Paris and Normandy this summer. We were a group of 12 (aged 70 down to 6) and spent 3 nights at the castle, June 18-20. We occupied every nook and cranny of the 4 bedrooms, 3 of which are suites, and were all very comfortable. After returning from the D-Day sites, most of the group headed for the attractive heated pool, and one evening we enjoyed wine at the bar by the pool. When we left, we all felt like Brigitte and Philippe were part of our family, and we hope they will come to visit us in Houston. We are grateful to Philippe and Brigitte for providing an unforgettably beautiful experience for our family.

"Extraordinary setting and hosts"

The first thing that comes to mind is that it is even more beautiful than the gorgeous pictures on the website! As most of us know, that is rarely the case. The Warmth of the Hosts, Brigitte and Philippe, make you feel at home and breathe in your bedroom. We were lucky enough to stay while exploring the D-Day beaches of Normandy.

"Excellent swimming pool"

Wonderful suite in a great castle. Magnificent (heated) outdoor swimming pool. And the breakfast was excellent too. Lunches and dinners are on site (Cabourg and other locations are near). We'll look forward to returning there!

Our experience was lovely at the castle, Philipe and Brigitte are charming hosts, loved the architecture, and their property was heaven. Spent many nights by the pool snacking and enjoying wine. They have a friendly horse named Dancer who is darling, and the dogs who wait for your arrival after a long day. Philipe suggests a lovely Italian place in Deauville for a dinner out! Amazing!

Our room was quiet and peaceful, we will definitely be back to visit this Chateau!

"A Wonderful Place!"

My wife and I, unfortunately, only had one night at the castle, but it was a wonderful experience. Brigitte and Philippe were great hosts and we only wished we could have stayed there. The rooms are beautiful! It was hard to believe that the castle was built hundreds of years ago.

"Our best stay in Normandy"

We spent so much time in this wonderful castle that we had planned a couple of days in the future. The chateau is charming and cozy, thanks to Philippe and Brigitte we felt ourselves very waited. The rooms are full of fabulous history and personal touch, and the bathroom was perfect! Even during our short stay we enjoined the lovely pond and excellent clean outdoor pool. Our best dinner in Normandy was booked by Philippe nearby and the breakfast was full of fresh berries and juice and bakery! Philippe was also very helpful in Normandy. Final voting of the best overnight during our trip gave this castle the far outstanding first place!

"A place you have to be in Normandy"

We were looking for a Chateau well situated in Normandy, to visit many places around. When we arrived we were surprised how wonderful the castle is placed in a beautiful park. We have been warmly received by Philippe.
The rooms are authentic. Not refurnished for tourists! This make you feeling, you really live in this Chateaux. Every thing in this castle is authentic. Exactly what you are looking for, when choosing such a place.
The breakfast is amazing with eggs from the Chateau's farm. Also fresh orange juice and homemade marmalade.
The garden offers a big swimming pool and a place to relax.
A lot of very good restaurants are very close. All recommendations we received from Philipp has been top.
Unfortunately we had to leave after 5 days, as the Chateau was booked out.
This is a place we would like to go back again ... ..

"Chateau Chic"

My sister, girlfriend and I, had the pleasure and opportunity to spend two nights in this beautifully maintained and elegantly decorated castle. We were very impressed from the moment we drove through the long drive to our final farewells.
Our hosts Brigitte & Philippe, were charming and generous and our rooms were bespoke decorated and immaculately clean.
The living rooms were decorated with Phillipe 's impressive hunting treasures which were presented in an authentic manner by South African Bwana.
Breakfast was presented by Brigitte in his elegant breakfast room with beautiful linen and locally sourced produce along with Phillipe's hand picked berries - delicious!
Thank you Brigitte & Philippe for welcoming us to your beautiful castle and making us feel at home.

Castle and wonderful park, exceptional rooms, sensational hosts and always at your disposal, ready for you, great stays. We advise the castle of Bénéauville for a relaxing stay and also to visit Normandy because it is near the main cities and the sea.

"An escape from reality!"

This is a lovely place with a charming host and hostess! The Chateau is like a fairytale, lovely rooms, an awesome breakfast and lovely surroundings. Perfect when you would like to escape from the outerworld! Do borrow the bikes and make an excursion in the area, do visit the nice restaurants in the surroundings and when sunny - spend some time along the poolside! Enjoy!

"Wonderful place to stay"

We had the opportunity to stay at Chateau de Beneauville for three days. I can not say what a wonderful B & B this is. The accomodations are just fabulous. After spending a week in Paris we headed to Normandy. We must agree that we should not be allowed to go to this point. My college age is in the top of the top of the day in France.

We loved our stay at Beneauville Castle as something very, very unique. The accomodations were excellent. It is a 5 star hotel on a very intimate scale. The Chateau is 25 acres of luxurious grounds. Philippe and Brigitte, the owners, could not have been more. Wonderful hospitable folks. They went out of their way to ensure that they were happy We really enjoyed meeting them and hearing their world travels. They provided the most fabulous breakfasts each served in the dining room. Wonderful way to start the day! At night they took the time to open a bottle of wine and spend time with us before we went off to dinner.

Bavent is near Cabourg and we had very enjoyable meals at the restaurants Philippe recommended. Maybe surprisingly, they were some of the best dinners we had in France. We would have liked more time to explore around the coast. Maybe next time.

The Chateau is a wonderful place to explore. We rented a car and it is an easy drive from Paris on the A13. We stopped in Giverny to see Monet's house and gardens where we had a very enjoyable lunch and visit. Then we cruised the back roads to Bavent. We took a trip to Mont St Michel and Bayeaux. Then we get a full day with a guide getting a historical perspective on the WWII D-Day event (Utah / Omaha beached and museums and cemetaries). Fascinating and we could have used an additonal day to explore the other three beaches.

Hopefully you get the feeling that we truly enjoyed our stay at Chateau de Beneauville and in Normandy. We wished we had more time to relax on the grounds. We would love to visit the area in the future. We would definitely stay at the Chateau again and we would have recommended it to you in 2014.

"A warm welcome in a maginifique setting
Our weekend at the Chateau de Bénéauville was really nice.

Remarkable chateau full of charm by its atypical architecture and its gardens, where a particular calmness releases this domain ... The reception is very pleasant there, the owners will tell you as many stories of the castle as of hunting. I advise you a stay of 3 days to take advantage of activities related to the region ... To conclude in one word: Splendid

"An exceptionally nice and cozy castle"
Stay two nights with family. Very warm welcome by the owners who transport us in a castle life. Guided tour of the magnificent estate and common areas of the castle. Adjoining room for the children's room (teenager): magnificent and worthy of the royal castles of the Loire Valley (ceilings, fireplace, tapestry). Large bathroom with all modern comforts (including washcloths! We see that the owners have thought of everything to satisfy their guests) and a very tasteful decoration. Breakfast: warm, fresh, quality, abundant and for all tastes, in the beautiful dining room ... Outdoor pool with bar / refreshments. Very nice to socialize with other visitors. Near the landing beaches and Bayeux. Cost very very reasonable given the high quality of the entire stay. An unforgettable stay!
